MEND has almost completed the first phase of the Fil Meidan, our "citizen journalism" project with youth from Kalandia, Ram, Nebi Saleh, Anata and Jerusalem. Our participants have so far produced a variety of short films on subjects ranging from the experience of Nur Tamimi with her weekly visit to the military authorities to a "Vox Pop" about the pros and cons of living in al-Ram, to a short film about the "youngest journalist in the world" - 10 years old - in Nebi Saleh, and a young musician in Kalandia. We are currently working on putting subtitles, until then the films (16 so far) can be seen in Arabic at Facebook
